TRAVEL Beverley has travelled extensively through the years and has met many famous people of the food world and eaten in the most interesting and well known restaurants of the world. She writes columns or lectures on her travels. Beverley regularly takes gourmet tours to different countries throughout the world such as France, Italy, United States, London, Scandinavia, Russia, Ireland, Portugal, to visit restaurants and keep up with the changing food scene. The last trip in May was to Sicily; prior to that to Lake Como, Venice and Florence travelling to some of the villages, tasting local foods both from markets and little family run restaurants. The chefs give her recipes from their kitchens which are used in newspaper stories; magazines and in the cooking school and catering business. The gourmet food tours also concentrate on gardens and where possible ceramics which are a feature of each country, especially Italy.
GARDEN Beverley s latest interest is the garden. This has been created and designed as a potager garden and is open to the public for special groups. The garden is largely devoted to edible flowers; herbs and unusual vegetables mingling with cottage plants and roses. The Edible Garden is now open as part of the Australian Garden Scheme. CATERING Special attention is paid to individual menus for each client, Beverley believes this best reflects her attention to detail and the catering business specialises in both corporate and private functions with an emphasis on very light, fresh food. Finger food or beautiful buffet food seems to have become the most popular items at the moment for clients. We have many files filled with letters from happy people who praise the flavours and beautiful presentation of food at our functions.
